Aug 12, 2025 · To build a 5 MWh battery energy storage system using liquid cooling technology: Select high-voltage battery racks – Each rack (e.g., 215–280kWh) is installed inside a liquid
Aug 10, 2024 · Discover the critical role of efficient cooling system design in 5MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) containers. Learn how different liquid cooling unit selections impact
The 5MWh liquid-cooling energy storage system comprises cells, BMS, a 20’GP container, thermal management system, firefighting system, bus unit, power distribution unit, wiring harness, and more. And, the container offers a protective capability and serves as a transportable workspace for equipment operation.
The energy storage batteries are integrated within a non-walk-in container, which ensures convenient onsite installation. The container includes: an energy storage lithium iron phosphate battery system, BMS system, power distribution system, firefighting system, DC bus system, thermal management system, and lighting system, among others.
Including1. 6300*2438*2896mm, internal cable of battery container. The total capacity of the battery container is 5.016MWh, which integrates the battery system, BMS, fire suppression system, chiller, and environmental monitoring in the container, compatible with the 2h system and 4h system.
The 2.5MW/5.016MWh battery compartment utilizes a battery cluster with a rated voltage of 1331.2V DC and a design of 0.5C charge-discharge rate. The energy storage batteries are integrated within a non-walk-in container, which ensures convenient onsite installation.
The layout project for the 5MWh liquid-cooling energy storage cabin is shown in Figure 1. The cabin length follows a non-standard 20’GP design (6684mm length × 2634mm width × 3008mm height). Inside, there are 12 battery clusters arranged back-to-back, each with an access door for equipment entry, installation, debugging, and maintenance.
The battery compartment employs a 20’GP non-standard container measuring 6058mm×2550mm×2896mm, housing a total of 12 battery clusters, resulting in a total system capacity of 5.016MWh. Each set of 12 battery clusters connects to a bus cabinet, forming a standard 5MWh DC compartment energy storage system.
