The first complete “Building as a power station” has been constructed in Baglan, south Wales, as an “off-grid”, self-sufficient building concept that only uses energy generated by the sun.
This marks the completion and operation of the largest grid-forming energy storage station in China. On March 31, the second phase of the 100 MW/200 MWh energy storage station, a supporting project of the Ningxia Power’s East NingxiaComposite Photovoltaic Base Project under CHN Energy, was successfully connected to the grid. This marks the completion and operation of the largest grid-forming energy storage station in China.
Going forward, various tests and performance experiments will be carried out to provide data support for the testing and standard setting of grid-forming energy storage.
