The characteristics of different communication methods of inverters are obvious, and the application scenarios are different. The data signal is connected to the low-voltage busbar through the power line on the AC side of the inverter, the signal is analyzed by the inverter supporting the data collector, and the communication is finally connected to the local power station management system or the cloud platform through the LAN or the Internet 2. The impact of the Base Stations comes from the combination of the power consumption of the equipment itself (up to 1500 Watts for a nowadays macro base station) multiplied by the number of deployed sites in a commercial network (e.g. more than 12000 in UK for a single operator).
The fundamental parameters of the base stations are listed in Table 1. The energy storage battery for each base station has a rated capacity of 18 kWh, a maximum charge/discharge power of 3 kW, a SOC range from 10% to 90%, and an efficiency of 0.85.
Analogous to traditional distribution networks, the operation of distribution systems incorporating 5G communication base stations must adhere to active and reactive power flow constraints.
